「和洋感応 —愉悦の流域」

いずみシンフォニエッタ大阪
「ハルシネーション」とは「幻覚」「幻影」を意味する言葉であるが、人工知能（AI）が事実とは異なるがもっともらしい嘘を生み出すことを指す。今回、室内オーケストラの作品を書くにあたり、ぼんやりと海の作品を書きたいと思ったところから始まった。そのイメージから、ネットの海、人工知能のハルシネーション、波打ち際のあわい、事実と嘘の境界線…と連想的にコンセプトが緩やかに繋がり、作品が形作られていった。作品は4楽章から構成される。
Ⅰ.the edge of the surf
波打ち際。ひそかに蠢く粒子が徐々に集まり、大きな波となってゆく。やがて波は煌めきながら砕け散る。
Ⅱ. Melting Choral
長い時間をかけて移り変わる和音に、掠れたコラールや雅楽的な響きが折り重なり合い、溶け合ってゆく。
Ⅲ.Paste & Paste
非常に短く密度の高い楽章。AIによるそれっぽい嘘が連鎖するように、脈絡なく様々なブロックが貼り合わされ接続してしまう。
Ⅳ.Dancing Memes
ミーム Memeとは動物行動学者リチャード・ドーキンスが提唱した概念で、「脳内に保存され、他の脳に複製可能な習慣・物語などの社会的、文化的情報」を意味する。とりわけインターネット文化においては、人から人へ、模倣として拡がっていく行動やコンセプトなどを指す言葉として使用される。本楽章ではあたかもインターネット上で情報が模倣され、拡散されるように、半音階で上行する音型が徐々に伝播してゆく。また、ビートの上で突然全く別の楽曲が挿入される瞬間が存在する。模倣/複製され、増殖し乱舞するミーム。
この作品は、現実と幻覚の間で、西洋と東洋のはざまで、あるいは目まぐるしく移り変わる社会の中で、溶けてゆく様々な境界線を見つめ、愛でるものである。

The term "Hallucination" refers to "hallucinations" or "illusions," but it also denotes the creation of plausible lies by artificial intelligence (AI) that diverge from reality. When composing a piece for chamber orchestra, I wanted to vaguely depict the sea. From that imagery, the concept of the net's sea, AI hallucinations, the border between fact and fiction, and the foam at the water's edge were evoked associatively, gradually shaping the composition. The piece consists of four movements.
Ⅰ. The Edge of the Surf The shoreline. Particles subtly stir and gradually gather, forming into large waves that eventually break, shimmering.
Ⅱ. Melting Choral Choral voices and elegant sounds reminiscent of ancient Japanese music intertwine over gradually shifting harmonies, melting into each other over extended periods.
Ⅲ. Paste & Paste A very short and densely packed movement where various blocks are haphazardly pieced together, resembling AI-generated lies linked together without coherence.
Ⅳ. Dancing Memes "Meme," a concept proposed by ethologist Richard Dawkins, refers to "social and cultural information such as habits, stories, replicable social constructs" stored in the brain and replicable in other brains. Particularly in internet culture, it refers to behaviors or concepts that spread from person to person through imitation. In this movement, a chromatic motif gradually spreads like information being mimicked and disseminated online. Additionally, there are moments where an entirely different piece is abruptly inserted over the beat. Memes imitate, replicate, proliferate, and dance.
This composition is an exploration and celebration of various boundaries dissolving between reality and hallucination, between the West and the East, or within the rapidly changing society.
